Sad Eyes
When you look at them you think I pity you, I feel badly for you. No. That’s pain, because you will never let me help. It’s selfish, I wish you were happy, I wish I could help, I can’t. You won’t let me, you force me to stand to the the side and observe, watch, try to keep myself detached, so I don’t feel the Ache. I do. Can you not see? I want you to feel that pure unrestrained happieness from childhood. Do you not understand? The amount of pain I feel knowing I can do nothing. Or worse knowing even if I do anything it will mean nothing. I saw you struggle, I saw you try… I see you give up, every day. You don’t even attempt anymore, you stopped trying. I can no longer watch you with these sad eyes.
